Women's Ministries
Welcome to Women's Ministries. Thank you for taking the time to check us out.
The ladies ministry at Grand Valley is patterned after the Lord's Words in Titus 2:3-5:
“Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored.”
Every woman is an older woman to someone else; even a new believer is an “older woman” for her unbelieving friends and family. It's our desire to equip women with both teaching and modeling of godliness so that she is better able to grow and to teach and model to those the Lord has placed in her life.
Opportunities for ladies to both learn and practice these things include:
- Titus 2 Ladies Bible Study Titus 2 meets once a week for 10 to 12 weeks twice a year, in the Fall and in the Spring. Child care is provided to encourage young mothers to come and be refreshed by God's Word and godly fellowship.
- Social Planning Committee The committee meets once a quarter to plan social events to help promote love and friendship among the body of believers, so that the one-anothers of Scripture can be carried out with love and generosity. Secret Sister Program. Secret Sisters run from February to February, with an emphasis on learning one person well by praying for and encouraging them during that year.
- Ladies Night Out LNO is planned several times a year for fun, fellowship, teaching new skills or helpng can up all those garden vegetables.
- With All My Might Exercise Night This is a new opportunity. Each Tuesday night we meet to walk, and encourage each other. Recipe exchanges, exercise videos and accountability are offered.
